Another treatment progreamme known as CFT (Combination Facial Therapy) is aimed at stimulating fibroblasts in the dermis to produce collagen which, when carried out with a light chemical peel, will give a brighter, younger, fresher appearance to the skin, giving a more uniform tone, and improving texture, refining pores, and helping to lift fine lines and wrinkles. A course of six treatments at 2 - 3 weekly intervals is recommended for maximum improvement. Top- up sessions may be performed as required.
Areas of the body such as face, neck, chest, back, hands, legs and arms can be treated. Very dark or suntanned skins cannot be treated.
At a treatment session, a clients skin will be thoroughly cleansed and a mild relaxing peel is applied. The peel offers deep natural exfoliation, removing layers of dead skin cells leaving the skin smoother and fresher looking. After this, a layer of chilled gel is applied to the skin and specific light wavelengths are pulsed onto the skin through the quartz light guide. The sensation is a brief warm ping. The chilled gel is removed and the skin moisturised and cooled.
The skin may become slightly red or pink after treatment, but most clients report very little reaction. Any pigment spots may darken and flake off after a few days resulting in an improvement in skin tone.
After a course of six treatments, a visible difference should be seen. The skin should look brighter, more youthful, fine lines lifted, pores refined, tone more uniform and a general healthy glow seen. This treatment gives excellent long-term results and clinets are highly satisfied.
Very rarely, hypopigmentation and hyperpigmentation or blistering of the skin occur, and these are usually temporary.
Skin care products can be purchased from the clinic to help maintain the improved skin condition.
